We have to thank French jewelry artist, Annick Puca, for the creation of the Par Puca range of beads that invariably involve 2 or 3 holes and allow you to create a range of innovative, multi dimensional designs. From complete circle shapes that can encase other beads to unusual bead spacers and bead weaving, the design possibilities are endless.
How to use Kheops Par Puca 2 hole beads?
2 hole beads, as the name suggests, have an additional hole which allows you to have greater design possibilities than traditional single strung beads. The additional hole on the triangle shaped, Kheops Par Puca beads can be used to create interesting flat or three dimensional designs by placing the triangles top to bottom or, as they are only 6mm, using in dainty designs such as earrings.
These carefully crafted beads are designed to be uniform in shape so they fit snugly together for bead weaving patterns and stitching designs that need to lie smooth and flat.
You will therefore find many opportunities to incorporate them and you can see some examples on our board HERE.
Many choose to use two and three hole beads with traditional stitches such as peyote, herringbone and brick stitch or to simply make use of the additional holes in creating multi strand designs and innovative wire wrapping; however you choose to use them they will prove an interesting addition to the craft box.
