When considering a new craft kit you may want to consider the following:
1. Your confidence level – Do you have a can-do attitude and are you quite happy to learn from mistakes? If so you’re already on your way to being a great crafter and can probably attempt a more challenging kit from the outset.
If conversely you like to take your time and would get easily frustrated if things were not right the first time, then working through the levels from beginner, intermediate to advanced may suit you better.
2. Dexterity – One area often overlooked,with jewellery making specifically and crafting in general, is that your hands are often the most important tool. If you find working with fiddly items easy then you’re more likely to adapt well to intricate kits and intermediate level kits straight away.
3. Previous craft experience? – If your a knitter, card maker or have tried and enjoyed crafting in any guise, it’s likely that you’ll be more comfortable taking on a new craft and already have skills that are transferable, so you may find even advanced projects achievable from the outset.
