How Does Wire Gauge Relate To Millimetres?
We often get asked how wire gauges relate to millimetres as in many cases the two measurements are used interchangeably.
Wire gauge numbers reduce based on the thickness of the wire so the larger the gauge number the thinner the wire; for example 28 gauge is a thin wire whilst 12 gauge is quite a thick 2mm wire.
